New York City Tour Company Introduces Daily Tours Including National 9/11 Memorial

New York City Vacation Packages (NYCVP), a tour company promoting leisure travel to New York City, announced NYC walking and sightseeing tours including entry into the new National 9/11 Memorial, opening in the City on the tenth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks in the US.
The Memorial, set in the footprints of the original World Trade Center Twin Towers, consists of two large pools and waterfalls. The names of those whose lives were lost in the terrorist attacks of 2001 and 1993 are inscribed on the walls surrounding the pools. A grove of nearly 400 trees surrounds the Memorial, creating a peaceful urban retreat amid the massive construction project of 1 World Trade Center, which when completed will become the tallest building in the United States.
Entry into the Memorial is free but is restricted by advance reservation only and is limited so as not to overcrowd the site.
NYCVP is including timed entry into the Memorial in the three popular walking and sightseeing tours the company has conducted for many years. All tours are unique in that they depart from midtown Manhattan, close to all major hotels, and are accompanied by a licensed and experienced New York City tour guide who escorts the groups downtown via the Citys subway system. The prices for the tours remain the same there is no additional charge for the pre-reserved entry to the Memorial.
On the WTC MEMORIAL Tour, Saturdays from 9am to noon, tour participants visit the National 9/11 Memorial first and then continue on a walking tour through Lower Manhattan where they will see such icons as Wall Street, the Woolworth Building, Trinity Church and a virtual museum of historical skyscrapers. The tour also views the Bronze FDNY 9-11 Memorial Wall and the NYC Police Memorial at the World Financial Center.
The FREEDOM Comprehensive Tour incorporates a walking tour of the Ground Zero area, entry into the National 9/11 Memorial and a visit to the Statue of Liberty. After a pre-reserved entry into the National 9/11 Memorial, guests take part in a narrated and guided stroll through Lower Manhattan including the remarkable memorials to the police and firefighters. Proceeding down lower Broadway, Wall Street and Bowling Green, the tour boards the Statue of Liberty Ferry in Battery Park.
